Master Cares Bethlehem Community Hospital is a mission-driven healthcare facility providing holistic, high-quality, and affordable medical care to underserved communities in Southern Uganda.
Our story began in 2009 when Dr. Ssentongo Emmanuel Lugwana, a locally born and deeply passionate medical professional, established a small rural clinic named Mirembe in response to the devastating effects of the HIV/AIDS epidemic in Lwengo and surrounding districts. The clinic quickly grew into Bethlehem Community Nursing Home, fueled by a desire to reach the most vulnerable with compassionate and accessible healthcare.
In 2014, the nursing home entered into a transformative partnership with Master Cares Ministries USA, an NGO focused on spiritual and economic upliftment. This collaboration led to the birth of the hospital we know today: a modern, 50-bed facility registered as Master Cares Bethlehem Community Hospital.
