Our hospital is called Master cares Bethlehem community hospital, it was established and opened in 2009 by a locally born Dr, Doctor Ssentongo Emmanuel Lugwana with an aim of extending quality medical services to the rural poor communities that were greatly affected by HIV/AIDS scourge. It started as a small clinic called Mirembe and later transformed into Bethlehem community nursing home. In 2014 Bethlehem community nursing home came into partnership with master cares ministries an NGO offering spiritual and community economic transformation to form a state of the art hospital which now is now registered as Master cares Bethlehem community hospital
We serve the districts of Lwengo, Rakai, Kyotera, Lyantonde, and parts of Masaka, offering 24/7 care with a passionate team of medical professionals.

A 30-bed ward offering expert care for children with both common and complex illnesses like malaria, pneumonia, and severe burns.
Supervised by the Paediatric team with autonomous operations
Equipped to care for premature and critically ill newborns, offering both treatment and training for first-time mothers.

Performs both major and minor operations for community and referral patients with a full surgical team and modern facilities.

A 60-bed center of hope for malnourished children, offering care, nutrition, and sustainable skills to families.
At Master Cares Hospital, we combine passion with professionalism to serve some of Uganda’s most underserved communities. Our services go beyond treatment — we offer 24/7 emergency care, chronic disease management through our Internal Medicine unit, safe deliveries and antenatal outreach under our dedicated Maternity department, and accurate diagnostics through Imaging and Laboratory services.
With a fully stocked in-house Pharmacy, every department is supported to ensure no patient is left behind — even in the most remote or critical situations.
We extend essential care: including immunization and ANC to remote villages.v
